The Imaging and Analysis Centre team operates within the Museum's Science Group.

Chris Jones - Head of Imaging and Analysis Centre (IAC)
Specialist in field emission scanning electron microscopy (SEM), low voltage SEM and variable pressure SEM applications.

Prof Teresa Jeffries - Head of Chemistry
Overall responsibility for the Museum's analytical chemistry laboratories and instrumentation. Responsible for day-to-day running of LA-ICP-MS.

Dr Farah Ahmed - Micro-CT Specialist
Responsible for the day-to-day running of the Micro-CT Laboratory, for maintenance and development of instrumentation, as well as training on the Micro- and Nano-CT systems and various 3D software packages.

Dr Emma Williams - Analytical Chemist
Responsible for operation and maintenance of inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy (ICP-AES) and elemental analysis (carbon, nitrogen and hydrogen).

Tony Wighton - Geological Preparator
Responsible for mineral preparation laboratories, including the preparation of polished sections and ore mounts.

Deen Pande - Electronics Manager
Responsible for maintaining the electronics workshop and providing electronics and engineering support for scientific instrumentation.

Anton Kearsley - Electron Probe Microanalyst
Responsible for maintaining a variety of analytical electron beam instruments and developing analytical and imaging protocols to meet diverse research needs.

John Spratt - Electron Probe Microanalyst
Responsible for Electron probe micro-analysis using the Cameca SX100 Electron Microprobe.

Dr Alex Ball - Electron Microscope Unit Manager
Responsible for managing staff in the electron microscope unit, as well as the day-to-day operation and maintenance of a number of imaging and tomography instruments.

Dr Vladimir Blagoderov - Sackler Biodiversity Imaging Laboratory Manager
Responsible for managing the Sackler Biodiversity Imaging Lab

Dr Stanislav Strekopytov - Senior Analytical Chemist
Responsible for the day-to-day running of multi-user chemical analytical laboratories, as well as for the operation and maintenance of a range of analytical instruments.

Responsible for maintaining and developing of the X-ray diffraction facilities and training of users.

Responsible for the operation, maintenance, training and development of LSCM (laser scanning confocal microscope) and a range of electron beam instruments
