Orbiniidae

Body clearly divided into a muscular flattened thorax with reduced parapodia followed by a more cylindrical abdomen. The prostomium is usually conical but may sometimes be a rounded lobe; there are no sensory appendages or palps; the eversible pharynx is unarmed. Cirriform branchae extend over most of the body. Setae are crenulate capillaries and acicular spines in the thorax.
