How to use the taxon search |
Which specimens are retrieved.
A search will retrieve ALL specimens which have at some time been identified as the name you select. It will also Retrieve specimens which have not been identified at all and which therefore may be species as the one you requested.
How to use the taxon searches:
In the
Division search,
Family search and
Genera search you can Retrieve specimens at any time after you have selected a value from the topmost box.
The page will then search the database for entries at the next taxonomic level and update the appropriate box. You can then select from that list.
Once you have selected the classification that you are interested in click on the retrieve specimen button and a list of the specimens which match those criteria will be created for you.
