Five Volumes of specimens and drawings from Hermann's years in Sri Lanka (Ceylon) 1672-1677
A database of images and associated information
The collection of dried plants and drawings made in Ceylon for Paul Hermann in the 1670s possesses a special importance in being one of the first major collections to contribute to a knowledge of the botany of the East Indies. Unfortunately, Hermann's premature death, in 1695, delayed its becoming available to the scientific world of his time.
