Allothereua maculata (Newport, 1844) from Crowea State Forest, Western Australia. Although this species name is widely employed for collections from all southern mainland states of Australia, Allothereua maculata in its type area (southwestern Western Australia) can be distinguished from similar southeastern Australian species.
Thereuopoda longicornis (Fabricius, 1793) from Taiwan. This species has been regarded as geographically widespread from India to Japan and northern Australia. Work in progress recognises Australian Thereuopoda as specifically distinct from southeast Asian T. longicornis. Thereuopoda occurs throughout arid parts of Australia.

Sphendononema guildingii (Newport, 1844) from Santa Cruz Department, Bolivia. This member of the Neotropical-Afrotropical Family Pselliodidae is very widely distributed, from Mexico and the Caribbean all through Central America and South America as far south as Paraguay. Molecular variability in widespread morphospecies is a research focus.

Seychellonema gerlachi Butler et al., 2010 from its type locality on the island of Silhouette in the Seychelles. This species has recently been described as the type of a new monotypic genus (Invertebrate Systematics, 24).
