• Test ovate without frontal sulcus. Upper surface convex, lower face flat.
• Apical disc plating holasterid; three gonopores (no gonopore on genital plate 2). Slightly anterior of centre.
• Aboral ambulacra with small, undifferentiated pore-pairs; apetaloid.
• Peristome oval and very slightly depressed. No groove in frontal ambulacrum leading to peristome.
• Periproct supramarginal, with weak subanal heel.
• Plastron plating orthosternous with single large sternal plate following labral plate. Episternal plates almost symmetric. No rostral plate.
• Aboral tuberculation fine.
• ?Subanal fasciole probably present in holotype, but test very abraded.

Holasteroida, Meridosternata, Urechinina.

Monotypic.

Differs from Cibaster in having three gonopores and an orthosternous plastron. It may be synonymous with the poorly known Ganbirettia, from the same region and horizon. The test is worn smooth so that tuberculation patterns are almost entirely indeterminate. However, there appear to be slight traces of a subanal fasciole. Very similar to Basseaster but with three gonopores not four and with convex anterior.
