Diagnostic Features
  • Test large and triangular in outline, with wide but distinct anterior notch at ambitus and a deep, narrow groove leading to peristome on the oral surface; thin-shelled.
  • Apical disc with ?three, possibly four gonopores. Compact.
  • Ambulacra all similar with minute pores only.
  • Peristome subcircular and facing anteriorly into frontal groove.
  • Plastron plating orthosternous; sternal plate followed by a pair of symmetrical episternal plates.
  • Plastron plating disjunct.
  • Ambulacra I and V continuous on oral surface; not separated by plates of interambulacra 1 and 4.
  • Scattered small tubercles distributed over the aboral surface; slightly larger tubercles close to apex.
  • Periproct inframarginal, with no overarching interambulcral hood.
  • No posterior rostrum.
  • No subanal fasciole.

Monotypic.

Remarks

Differs from Pourtalesia in having an inframarginal periproct. Closest to Cystocrepis but differing from that taxon in having ambulacra I and V with continuous plating.
