Diagnostic Features
  • Test small, low domal in profile.
  • Apical disc moderately large, plating dicyclic with small projecting ocular plates. Periproct large, subcircular, with small but distinct suranal. A ring of tubercles on the genital plates surrounds the periproct.
  • Ambulacral zones straight, a little more than half the interambulacral width. Plating trigeminate, compound in echinid style. Pore-pairs weakly offset in triads, and hardly more crowded adorally. Single primary tubercle to each compound plate adjacent to pore zone, plus scattered miliaries.
  • Interambulacral plates with central primary tubercle and rather sparse secondaries and granules; the secondaries with a radial epistroma.
  • No pits or other epistromal ornament.
  • Primary tubercles imperforate and distinctly crenulate and with an incised (indented) areole.
  • Peristome with very feeble buccal notches.
  • Spines short and without cortex.
  • Perignathic girdle with auricles fused above the perradius.
