Lectotype - male, INDIA: , (BMNH, London). The female lectotype is labelled `E.I.C.' [East India Company], without further locality data. The species occurs in WEST MALAYSIA, SINGAPORE and INDONESIA.

Fletcher (1979) stated:-

Z. translucida is a junior subjective synonym of Euchloris baliata Felder & Regenhofer, 1875, Reise öst. Fregatte Novara (Zool.) 2 (Abt.2): pl.127, fig.7.

Parsons et al. (1999) included 259 species and 35 subspecies (inc. nominates) in the genus ZAMARADA.
