How to apply

Roach, 12kIf you have read the information on an individual unit and wish to sit the exam please fill out an application form. Please note one of the sheets with the application form lists the Terms and Conditions for undertaking the exam.

Payment and discounts

The information sheet on each unit details the cost of sitting the exam. In order to confirm your booking you must send a £20 deposit with your form. In addition, we are able to offer the following discounts:

  • Students: Full-time students can get up to 50% discount on the price of an exam
  • Previous candidates: If you have sat an IdQ exam within the last 12 months you are entitled to a discount of 50% on any IdQ unit.
  • Group bookings: Discounts are available for groups of five or more. For some exams we may be able to run the exam at your location. Contact us for more details.

Exam timetable

We no longer run exams at fixed times each year. Once a suitable number of candidates have booked for a unit we will arrange a date for the exam to suit all candidates and the examiner.

The Vascular Plants (B011) and Aquatic Macrophytes (B012) units are only held during spring or summer; for these exams we need fresh specimens and we therefore only run these exams when these are available.
