Who can attend?

Specialist seminars held at the Natural History Museum are open to a range of research and collections management audiences. Find out who each seminar series is aimed at.

Collections management seminars

These seminars will be primarily of interest to collections management staff, conservators, librarians, and other staff involved with collections at the Natural History Museum.

Also welcome are professionals from other museums, universities, institutions and societies such as:

Museums Association
Museums Libraries and Archives Council (MLA)
International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM)
Natural Sciences Collections Association (NatSCA)

Departmental seminars

All Natural History Museum staff, external academics, and graduate and undergraduate students with an interest in the specialist subject matter are welcome to attend departmental seminars.

As these seminars are held in areas of the Museum that aren't open to the public, external attendees will need to arrange to be collected. Please read our section on coming to events.

Other NHM Science Group seminar series

These seminars will be mainly be of interest to specific groups of researchers in the Natural History Museum and at associated institutions and museums, but all researchers are welcome to attend.
