Evolution of Hepialoidea

This research aims to explore the phylogenetic relationships of Hepialoidea, an ancient and poorly understood family.

The superfamily Hepialoidea or swift moths, have a number of intriguing morphological, ecological and behavioural features.

Additional studies into Hepialoidea zoogeography and plant associations could potentially become a model for the evolution of herbivorous insects since the mid-late Jurassic.
