Flora Mesoamericana

Flora Mesoamericana is an international collaborative project to catalogue the vascular plant diversity of southern Mexico and Central America. This covers a land area the size of France, containing some 18,000 estimated species.

The region is an area of floristic mixing, and as such is of critical importance to understanding plant evolution in the Neotropics.
