Crinoids are the most primitive of the 5 living echinoderm classes. Crinoid research in the Palaeontology Department largely focuses on their Mesozoic fossil record.
Current projects include:
- Development of faunal guides to the crinoids of the Gault and Lower Liassic.
- Monographing of the Middle and Upper Jurassic fauna of the British Isles.
