Vanessa Pike manages the Research and Consulting Office and is responsible for assisting the science departments in implementing the Science Income Business Plan. Vanessa is a graduate in Zoology from King's College, London and has five years of field research experience in post-harvest pest management.
She joined the Science Directorate in 1996 from NR International, Kent. During her three years at NR International she developed skills in commercial tendering and project management with clients including the European Union, the World Bank and the Department for International Development.
She has specialist expertise in European Union funding, research and training grant proposal preparation and development of Memoranda of Understanding.
