  • Genital evolution
This review article PDF (264.8 KB)covers current thinking on genital evolution. Researchers have arrived at a number of theories to explain the evolutionary mechanisms driving genital evolution; the article explains the theories and summaries recent study findings that support the theory.
  • Blowflies
Zoe is planning research on genital evolution in the Diptera, using Calliphorid blowflies as a study organism. The museum's Veterinary and Forensic Entomology team spend much of their time studying members of the fly family Calliphoridae. They are involved in a disease condition of man and animals known as myiasis, and are vital in forensic entomology casework.
