The CAHR is supporting an individual scholar carrying out in-depth research on the history and science of Captain Scott’s famous Antarctic expeditions.

The team are using a wide variety of specimens and related materials from Scott's expeditions in the Museum's collections.

This primary research is informing the content of an exciting touring exhibition commemorating Scott’s extraordinary achievements, arriving at the Museum in January 2012.
