Lycophytes

Lycophytes form the second existing lineage of seed-free vascular plants.
They comprise three extant orders:
- clubmosses (Lycopodiales), a homosporous lineage
- quillworts (Isoetales), a heterosporous lineage
- spikemosses (Selaginellales), another heterosporous lineage
