In addition to collections, the Botany Department has access to a range of facilities to support research including:
- analytical laboratories
- culture laboratories
- digital imaging and photomicroscopy
- geographic information systems
- libraries
- molecular laboratories
All are available to scientific visitors.
The Angela Marmont Centre for UK Biodiversity is a new development at the Natural History Museum, opening in September 2009. Acting as the focus for biodiversity studies in the UK it aims to increase our public communication of science and encourage interest in UK natural history.
