The Botany Department is currently relocating a large part of its collections to the new Darwin Centre. We are therefore regrettably unable to respond to general enquiries regarding flowering plants until further notice, except where these relate specifically to our bluebells distribution project.
We expect to resume a full enquiries service towards the end of 2009 and thank you for your patience.
Loans of specimens can be made for research and exhibition purposes to approved institutes. Details are contained in the policy and procedure documents.
Due to the relocation of the collections we are currently unable to offer this service for seed plants. Cryptogamic plant loans are unaffected.
We are happy to consider provision of digital images in lieu of loaning specimens where small numbers are involved.
