Radiolarian collection

The Museum's radiolarian collection is small but contains many important specimens. It provides a valuable resource for dating rocks and studying oceans of the past.
The radiolarian collections contain:
- historically important material collected in the late 1800s by Ernst Haeckel
- an extensive radiolarian book and reprint collection donated by Bill Riedel
- part of the Museum’s collection of Blaschka glass radiolarian models
