Tardigrada collection

Tardigrades are microscopic creatures (from 0.1mm to 1.5mm in length). Tardigrades are known as ‘polyextremophiles’ which means they are adapted to living in extreme conditions, such as very high or low temperatures

The Museum's Tardigrada collection contains 30 species.

The specimens are kept both in alcohol, as well as on microscope slides.
