If you wish to bring comparative material with you when you visit the Zoology Department, please discuss this with your host when arranging your visit. It may need to be frozen to comply with the Museum’s Integrated Pest Management policy and procedures before it will be allowed into our collection spaces.
Imports, exports and CITES regulated specimens
- All specimens brought into the Museum are subject to international wildlife import and export laws.
- International visitors are responsible for obtaining any necessary export permits from their home country.
- You are responsible for completing and filing all relevant forms to declare your specimen imports and/or exports. We will ask to see copies.
- Please contact us well in advance if you are planning to bring CITES regulated specimens to the Museum.
