As meteorites curator I am responsible for auditing the meteorite collection, including:

  • weighing all samples
  • recording the historical scientific use of each sample
  • documenting information on the 4,802 registered items and associated fragments into EMu Collections Management System database
  • producing digital photographs of all samples and preparations

Other duties include hosting visitors to the meteorite collection, arranging loans and participating in outreach events; Science Uncovered, Fossil Festival, Museum Schools Day & Stargazing Live. I also helped with organisation of the MetSoc 2011 and ToScA 2013 conferences.
