The short-haired bumblebee was last recorded in the UK in 1988. Vanishing habitat caused numbers to decline and this charismatic species was officially declared extinct in the UK in 2000. Now, after years of careful planning and negotiation, a team of experts has embarked on a special mission to bring the short-haired bumblebee back to Britain. But how can we ensure that this new population don't meet the same fate? Join us to find out more about this pioneering project to give short-haired bumblebees a second chance.
