Access guide

We aim to provide a friendly, accessible environment for all our visitors and the widest possible access to our buildings, exhibitions and collections.

Everything you need to know if you’re visiting with children, from babycare facilities to pushchair access, is in our Parents' survival guide.

If you have a question or comment about access, please call the information desk on +44 (0)20 7942 5011 or email us.

Enhanced accessibility in our galleries

Our new Treasures Cadogan Gallery features interactive digital displays, braille labels and tactile specimen-objects. You can download our complete audio-descriptive guide or access each exhibit's guide in the gallery.

The Images of Nature gallery's information kiosks have large text, subtitles and British sign language options and audio-visual content. Braille and large print books and gallery guides are also available.

There is an audio-descriptive guide for blind and visually impaired visitors, highlighting selected artworks and images on display.
