My research experience is in marine algae, specializing in red algal taxonomy, life histories, evolution, ecology and conservation. 

Current projects: 

i) seaweed distributions in the North Atlantic in relation to origins and patterns of dispersal

ii) conservation of seaweeds

iii) ocean acidification and coralline algae

iv) macroalgal microbiomes of marine algae
