The NHM Palaeontology and Mineralogy Library: A Unique Resource

The Palaeontology and Mineralogy Library, the library for the earth scientists in The Natural History Museum, is open to all bona fide users. The strength of this resource derives from a rich collection of 130,000 volumes of books, 6000 serial titles - 3500 current, 75,000 geological maps, and many manuscripts and drawings, ranging from the historical texts to the latest electronic information, and enhanced with library staff expertise.

Palaeontology literature in the collection embraces all fields in the discipline, further supplemented by collections held in the other libraries of the Museum (the General, Zoology, Botany and Entomology).
