GIS, Geochemistry, Mineral exploration techniques, Mineralogy, Project Geology

Summary

I am an exploration/economic geologist interested in using remote techniques to identify buried ore deposits. During my PhD I worked with a junior exploration company prospecting for Cu-Ag beneath 50-200m of Kalahari Group sediments in central eastern Namibia. My previous experience was primarily with an offshore diamond mining company operating off the west coast of Namibia where I worked in everything from exploration to production geology, resource generation and strategic projects. I am currently employed at the Natural History Museum as a postdoctoral research assistant where my experience in mineralogy and geochemistry are helping to characterise a suite of samples for the European Space Agency’s planetary analogue collection.
