Delopatagus Koehler 1907, p. 147

Diagnostic Features
  • Test almost circular in outline without anterior sulcus; thin-shelled; apex towards truncate posterior; oral surface flat.
  • Apical disc ?ethmolytic with three gonopores (none in genital plate 2).
  • Anterior ambulacrum flush with rudimentary pores only.
  • Paired ambulacra weakly petaloid and sunken. The posterior petals much shorter than the anterior petals.
  • Peristome a little anterior of centre; somewhat sunken; labral plate projecting over opening.
  • Plastron plating unrecorded.
  • Periproct small and towards top of posterior truncate face.
  • No fascioles.

Classification and/or Status

Spatangoida, Paleopneustina, Incertae sedis B.

Monotypic.

Remarks

According to Mironov (1993) D. brucei is a junior synonym of the type species of Genicopatagus. No decent published figure exists of this taxon.
