Diagnostic Features	Apical disc probably compact; structure unknown Petals in all five ambulacra; unknwon if the columns of pore-pairs are of even length or not Periproct oval longitudinally; opening subambitally, not entirely visible from lower surface (inframarginal) Peristome not well preserved, possibly subrounded. Preservation too poor to see structure of the phyllodes

Type	Echinolampas arnaudi Cotteau, 1891, p. 155, by original designation.
Species Included	Only the type species
Classification and/or Status	Irregularia, Cassiduloida, Gitolampadids Possibly a junior subjective synonym of Gitolampas Gauthier, 1889, but too poorly known to be placed beyond family.
Remarks	Roman (1965, p. 199) re-examined and figured the type and found very little detail could be made out.
