Diagnostic Features From other species of Mellita:
  • very long anal lunule, up to 43% of the test length and with anterior margin of lunule almost contacting apical disc
  • inwardly curved posterior petals
  • very narrow, divergent food grooves which are only slightl sinuous
Distribution Recent; East Pacific coast of Central Mexico to Panama and the Galapagos Islands
