Type specimens:
Holotype - male COLOMBIA: Santa Rosa, (BMNH, London).. A second specimen in the BMNH collection, apparently identical with the holotype, is from W. COLOMBIA. There are many localities named Santa Rosa in the New World and the country cited in this instance is only tentative

Notes:
Parsons et al. (1999) included only 1 species in the genus DYSCHORONEURA.
