Fletcher & Nye (1984) stated:-

Bleszynski, 1963 Acta zool. cracov. 1: 257, and 1965, in Amsel et al., Microlepid. Palaearctica 1: 231, stated Tinea deliella Hübner to be the type-species of Agriphila Hübner [1825] by subsequent designation Heinemann, 1865, Schmett. Dt. Schweiz (Abt.2) 1 (2): 144. At this reference Heinemann included only one species, namely deliella, in his usage of Agriphila but made no type-species designation.
