Watson, Fletcher & Nye (1980) stated:-

C. rubricola is a junior subjective synonym of Castulo doubledayi Newman, 1857, Trans. ent. Soc. Lond. (2) 4:55. Cluaca was established in the Callimorphidae, now Arctiidae, Arctiinae; it was placed in the Liparidae, now Lymantriidae, by Kirby, 1892, Synonymic Cat. Lepid. Heterocera 1:491; and was transferred to the `Lithosiidae' by Swinhoe, 1903, Trans. ent. Soc. Lond. 1903:498.
