Clenora was established in the Notodontidae; it was transferred to the Eupterotidae by Hampson, 1900, J. Bombay nat. Hist. Soc. 13: 37; it was placed in the Bombycidae by West, 1932, Novit. zool. 37: 215 (but published as * Clenera, an incorrect subsequent spelling).
