Fletcher & Nye (1984) stated:-

* Calamochrosta was the spelling used in the key to the genera on page 277; Calamochrous was used in the generic heading on page 386, in the index on page 488 and in the legend to plate 12. The latter spelling has had universal usage and is adopted in this catalogue as the correct original spelling; Calamochrosta is deemed an incorrect (of a multiple) original spelling.

Shaffer (pers. comm.) treats CALAMOCHROUS in the CRAMBIDAE: PYRAUSTINAE.
