A junior homonym of Brachycola Audinet-Serville, [1838] 1839, Hist. nat. Insectes, Orthoptères: 119 - Orthoptera. There is no objective replacement name, but A. absconditaria is believed to be congeneric with Anisodes urcearia Guenée, 1857, the type-species of Anisodes Guenée, 1857. The latter is thus available as a subjective replacement name.
