Hemming (1967) stated:-

The taxon represented by the nominal species Limnas nyx is currently treated subjectively ors taxonomic grounds as a form of the taxon represented by the older-established nominal species Papilio dorilas Cramer, [1775] (Uitl. Kapellen 1 (4) : 75, pl. 48, fig. C).
