Synalamis in the Noctuidae, Ophiderinae, is cited here as it was not included in Nye, 1975, Generic Names Moths World 1.

Poole (1989) included SYNALAMIS in the subfamily OPHIDERINAE, treated as CALPINAE by Kitching & Rawlins, in Kristensen (1999).

Poole (1989) included 12 species in the genus SYNALAMIS.
