Fletcher (1979) stated:-

P. guttaria was attributed by Guenée to Guérin-Ménéville, an incorrect authorship. The species was illustrated by Guérin-Ménéville, [1844] 1829-1844, Icon. Règne anim. Cuvier: 523, pl.90, fig.2.

Parsons et al. (1999) included only 1 species in the genus STALAGMIA.
