This genus was originally proposed in the Geometridae, but has since been transferred to the Noctuidae; its first published use in this family appears to have been by Swinhoe, 1900, Cat. east. and Aust. Lepid. Heterocera Colln Oxf. Univ. Mus. 2: 192.
