Nye (1975) stated:-

The date of publication of the part of Seitz containing page 234, was stated on page 229 as 1911 March 10th in both the English and the German editions.

Poole (1989) included RHIZEDRA in the subfamily AMPHIPYRINAE, subsequently restricted to the genus AMPHIPYRA by Kitching & Rawlins, in Kristensen (1999). Other genera formerly treated in the subfamily AMPHIPYRINAE are treated as HADENINAE by Kitching & Rawlins (loc. cit.).

Poole (1989) included 2 species in the genus RHIZEDRA.
