Notes:
Fletcher & Nye (1982) stated:-

Butler, 1876, Trans. zool. Soc. Lond. 9: 513, quoting a letter from the author, stated that Boisduval's work was published on 22.ii.1875.

The type-species is dated from the wrapper of part 30, not from the title-page of volume 4 which is dated 1782. In the index which was included in part 34 published in 1782, the name of the type-species was misspelt as * Ancetus.
