Fletcher (1979) stated:-

P. gloriosa is a junior subjective synonym of Callidula felderi Bremer, 1864, Mém. Acad. Sci. St. Pétersb. (7) 8 (1, Lepid. Ost-Sibiriens): 38, pl.4, fig.3. Incorrect type-species: Pterodecta anchora Pagenstecher, 1887, a nomen nudum when designated by Butler, 1877, Ann. Mag. nat. Hist. (4) 20: 399.

Pterodecta anchora Pagenstecher was also designated by Hampson, [1893] 1892, Fauna Br. India (Moths) 1: 324, but cited as anchora Moore, an incorrect authorship.

This genus was originally proposed in the Lithosiidae (now Arctiidae), but has since been transferred to the Callidulidae, where it was placed by Pagenstecher, 1887, Jb. nassau. Ver. Naturk. 40: 213, 238.

PTERODECTA was included within the subfamily CALLIDULIDAE: CALLIDULINAE by Minet, in Kristensen (1999).
