This genus was originally proposed in the Noctuidae, but has since been transferred to the Geometridae, where it was placed by Meyrick, 1885, Trans. N.Z. Inst. 17: 65.

(1999) included AMPHITAPE Felder & Rogenhofer, 1875; ANATOSSA Warren, 1894; ARGUA Walker, 1863 [December 19] ; ATOSSA Meyrick, 1883; DETUNDA Walker, 1865 [April 2]; EPICASIS Meyrick, 1885 IPANA Walker, 1858 [October 9]; and POLITEIA Walker, 1865 [April ] as junior synonyms of DECLANA Walker, 1858 [October 9].
