Notes:
Fletcher (1979) stated:-

The original designation of Abraxes khasiana Swinhoe was found later by Warren to have been based on misidentified material, which he subsequently described as Pogonopygia nigralbata and designated as `the real type of Pogonopygia'.

Under Article 70(a) of the Code, the case of a misidentified type-species should be referred to the Commission.

Parsons et al. (1999) included 2 species and 6 subspecies (inc. nominates) in the genus POGONOPYGIA.
