Nye & Fletcher (1991) stated:-

Plocamosaris was included in the Oecophoridae by Fletcher, 1929, Mem. Dep. Agric. India (Ent.) 11: 180; and in the Gelechiidae by Clarke, 1955, Cat. Type Specimens Microlepid. Br. Mus. nat. Hist. descr. E. Meyrick 1: 18.

Plocamosaris was considered by Sattler, 1973, Bull. Br. Mus. nat. Hist (Ent.) 28: 239, to be available for use as a subjective replacement name for Noeza Walker, 1866, a junior homonym.
