A. pyrrhias is a junior subjective synonym of Haplopseustis erythrias Meyrick, 1902, April.

ACNISSA was established in the LYMANTRIADAE, now LYMANTRIIDAE; it was retained in the same family but placed as a junior synonym of HAPLOPSEUSTIS by Turner, 1903, ibidem 27:15; HAPLOPSEUSTIS, with ACNISSA in synonymy, was placed in the NOCTUIDAE, ERASTIANAE, now ACONTIINAE, by Turner, 1920, ibidem 44: 166.
