Fletcher (1979) stated:-

P. aurinaria is a junior subjective synonym of Hemagalma chilonaria Herrich-Schäffer, [1855] 1850-1858, Samml. neuer oder wenig bekannter aussereur. Schmett. 1 (1): wrapper, pl.62, fig.350.
